Tenuta La Campana is a wonderful, medieval country estate in the middle of the Crete area, south of Siena, famous for its rolling ochre hills.
The countryside has woods, cultivated fields and deep gorges that make the scenery unique. Virtually all you can see in any direction is part of the Tenuta, and you are free to walk or bicycle anywhere on the estate.
The country estate " La Campana" is made up of several buildings of historical and artistic importance.
The most beautiful is the main house with its typical Tuscan architecture.
The 9 apartments for the guests are nearby in two other buildings.
All the apartments have been carefully renovated with beamed ceilings and terracotta floors.
They are spacious, and furnished with antique furniture which makes them especially charming.
Each apartment consists of a large living-room with fireplace,
kitchen (equipped with oven, cooker, fridge, freezer, dishwasher),
two or three bedrooms and always two or three bathrooms
with shower or bath.
A private area outside, or a terrace
furnished with table and chairs for dining out are provided
for each apartment.
This is an ideal resort for a country holiday with culture.
Surrounded by tall trees and flowering hedges,
it also has a tennis court, a beautiful swimming-pool (16
x 8 m) with wonderful views of the countryside, boules ground
and a children's playground.
There is a barbecue area and well-equipped laundry room.
Trekking routes inside the Estate (it is very large - you can walk all day without leaving the grounds)
Just 25 minutes from Siena, La Campana is in an ideal location for visiting many of the other fascinating old town such a Montalcino (treat yourself to a bottle of Brunello di Montalcino), Montepulciano and San Gimignano.
No visit to La Campana would be complete without a visit to the nearest restaurant 'La Pievina' where the many courses are presided over by the rather extrovert proprietor! An experience not to be missed.
Le Crete area is ideal for those who love nature, trekking and mountain-bikes.

The price includes: the use of the apartment/ villa with domestic appliances, cutlery, crockery and saucepans, water, gas, electricity, linen (for beds, bathrooms and kitchen) changed weekly, and final cleaning; the use of the swimming-pool with beach umbrella and deck-chairs and tennis, trekking routes, internet point, children’s playground, barbecue and parking lot. Chef service on request.
Extra and to be paid on the premises: central heating upon use and per day for the Villa.
Maid service: € 20 per hour (to be booked and paid on the premises). 2 hours per day maid service compulsory for the Villa.
Arrival Saturday afternoon from 4.30 to 7 p.m.; departure by 10.00 a.m. on Saturday morning.
Swimming-pool: open from 1st of May till 30th of September.
