This walking programme has been designed to give guests flexibility. Clearly walking between the five perched villages of the Cinque Terre is a wonderful experience as originally these villages were only interconnected by footpath or accessed by water. The Cinque Terre has been made into a park in which many types of plant and animal life flourish and offers stunning views of the rugged coast and terraced vineyards.
It is also a wonderful opportunity to see the lovely old village of Montemarcello high above the coast and the old fishing village of Tellaro where the houses literally tumble down to the sea.
The Doria Park is a delightful hotel which is small enough to retain its warm and friendly atmosphere whilst having extremely well equipped comfortable rooms and bathrooms - and what a view!!! Information on the Hotel can be found at Doria Park Hotel
There are many little restaurants and cafes in Lerici to explore. The main piazza is 5 minutes walk down a pathway from the Hotel.
Luigi, who is the Manager, will be available to advise on each day's excursion.
A walking map and intineraries will be provided by the Hotel. Walks are of medium difficulty although one or two along the Cinque Terre may be slightly easier/harder.
