La Sovrana has been restored into a family home, retaining all the original characteristics of a traditional Tuscan farmhouse. It enjoys a very private and tranquil setting with stunning view over the surrounding thickly wooded hillsides and the medieval towers of the village. It is only 15 minutes south of Siena.

It has a large terracotta terrace overlooking the garden and land with views across the Tuscan hills. The sunny terrace is equipped with table, chairs and sun umbrella for outdoor dining. It has a large irregular shaped swimming pool (11 x 5 m - 1.20 - 2.10 deep) that seems to fit into the surrounding landscape.

The interior offers comfortable, spacious open-plan living with a large living room, dining room with kitchen area and a fire place, one double bedroom and a bathroom with shower on the ground floor. On the first floor there are four double bedrooms, and two shower bathrooms.
There is a good restaurant in Stigliano about a mile away, a pleasant walk away on a summer's evening.
A good selection of shops, bars and a restaurant can be found in Rosia which is 5 kms away.
A chef service is available at the villa for 20 euros per hour, plus food.

The property is reached by a short unmade road through the olive grove, which is not suitable for low slung vehicles.
