This historical residence is the perfect place to spend an unforgettable few days. Located in the center of the city of St.Francis, a few metres from St. Clare's square, San Crispino is entered through a 14th Century stone arch above which is a shrine dating back to 1330.
To spend time here is a magical experience, the light is wonderful especially as the colours of the sunset change the old stone and the sun mirrors in the windows of it houses and churches. A wonderful opportunity to truly discover Assisi and also visit with ease some of the other towns of Umbria such as Perugia, Gubbio, Todi and Spello.
The seven beautifully appointed apartments have panoramic views, some up to the
S. Maria Maggiore, or the façade of the Basilica of St. Clare and others across the Umbrian valley. Each apartment has been individually furnished to the highest standard
and all the original frescoes have been restored to their former glory. They are named after the elements of St. Francis and the frescoes depict this fact. Most of them have either a terrace or access to a garden.
The apartments which range in time from the 14th Century upwards all have an independent cooking corner, fridge, satellite TV, telephone and comfortable sun beds where there are terraces or in the private gardens. Breakfast ingredients are supplied in the kitchens which are fitted inside antique wardrobes.
Weeks may include Health and Beauty treatments at the nearby beauty farm and medical centre which is just a few minutes away by a shuttle-car service.
