Monticornaio is a an old converted villa and farm set in parkland just 5 km outside Perugia. The owner, in whose family it has been been for centuries, has converted the three main buildings into beautifuly appointed apartments and rooms, as well as a sauna, fitness centre and conference facilities.  One of the private terraces in the Granaio building In the main Villa is the reception (English speaking), three spacious apartments, as well as several double rooms with modest cooking facilities.Most of these open out directly into the park with french windows, enabling clients to eat outside. The Casa Colonica - the old farmhouse - has another three apartments and disabled facilities. They have a small terrace behind, and tables and chairs are provided closeby in the garden. Through the park, you come to the Granaio - the old barn with its own lawned garden - converted into several apartments, each with a private terrace. Most apartments have the sleeping area on an elegantly constructed mezzanine level with the living area downstairs equipped with comfortable double sofabeds. Cats and extra beds can be provided. All apartments are equipped with internet access points, satellite TV, central heating and air-conditioning. An internet-connected computer is available in the main villa for the clients use at any time. Small but well equipped kitchen units in each apartment allow the preparation of the wonderful local produce obtainable locally. 
Bedrooms Monticornaio not only offers the peace and tranquility of a relaxing holiday in the country, but is a wonderful base for excursions to the main towns of Umbria such as Perugia, Assisi (15km), Gubio, Todi, and Cortona, all within easy reach. Urbino and Arezzo are only an hour away, and you can visit Rome or Florence for the day. Not far from the property you will find several good restauarants, one within walking distance. There is a local road through to Perugia with its wealth of shops, bars and restaurants. This only takes a few minutes and saves having to go out onto the main trunk roads.

Apartment 8 The sauna Ryanair have announced that they are flying into Perugia fron Stansted in 2007. San Egidio airport is only a few kilometres from the property.
