This luxurious property has eight spacious apartments created out of the old village houses and restored with care to every detail.. They are named after the trades that were carried on in them. These apartment houses are clustered around a Villa, now a small hotel, set in fields now converted to parkland.
The houses are beautifully furnished, some with antiques, and have terracotta floors and attractive beamed ceilings. Beautifully laid out gardens with lawns and colourful flower beds surround a large swimming pool, floodlit at night.
There are two restaurants on site. The Restaurant offers an elegant ambiance and refined cuisine, and the Taverna / Enoteca which offers a less formal atmosphere, with simple traditional cuisine, combined with a bar.
And there is now a small luxurious hotel on the site if you only want to stay a few nights.
It is set in the countryside just outside the small town of Camuccia, itself just at the foot of Cortona on the hill. Apart from Cortona, this is an excellent location from which to explore the cities of Assisi, Gubbio and Perugia in Umbria, and Arezzo and Florence in Tuscany. Nearby is Lake Trasimeno, on which you can take the lake steamers out to the islands.
