There
are places full of history and poetry…
This impressive 17th century palazzo - the Palazzo del Duca, set
on the historic main borgo of Tavernelle, was a summer
residence of
the Este Family
The palazzo has its
original features, spacious living areas and terracotta
floors, local sandstone portals and doors and
stunning vaulting. It also boasts a wonderful ancient staircase.
Palazzo del Duca consists of 5 beautiful
apartments and 2 double bedrooms. Each apartment is independent
from each other with its own kitchen and heating. Each bedroom
of Palazzo del Duca has its own bathroom.
Each apartment has its own charming style. For example the
Templari apartment on the ground floor retains some of the
original kitchen facilities while Luni apartment is reminiscent
of a New York loft apartment.
The apartments can be rented together allowing the stay of 8 –
12- 18 persons. Also an ideal location for weddings, family
meetings and events. In fact the whole palace,
on three floors, may be rented to a party of up to
26 people.
26 people.
The palace has an access to an internal private partially paved garden which provides a peaceful area for relaxing, dining and cooling-off on summer evenings.
There is a lovely new swimming pool (8m x 4m )
Due to the high altitude and thick walls of the palazzo air conditioning is never necessary.
