Vesta is an old farmhouse a short distance from Siena, magically situated within the rolling hills known as 'Le Crete', characterised by round clay hillocks, which stretches from the outskirts of Siena, towards Monte Amiata and west to the Maremma. Siena can be admired from a distance at Vesta. In 'Le Crete' shepherds tend sheep whose milk is used to produce the pecorino cheese popular throughout Tuscany. Cypress trees, planted to provide windbreaks along roads and around isolated farms are an important sculptural feature in this empty and primeval landscape.
The beautiful round swimming pool has an attractive island and is situated in a panoramic and sunny position. There is table tennis and mountain bikes are available for guests. Every apartment has air-conditioning which can be requested and paid for on the premises.
The old farmhouse has been converted into 16 comfortable and welcoming apartments, each consisting of living-room and kitchen, one or two double bedrooms and one bathroom with shower. There are also some very economical studio apartments.Every apartment has air conditioning, satellite TV, and a private outside area with table, chairs and umbrella for outdoor dining and admiring the surrounding countryside. All the apartments are spacious having large living rooms with well fitted kitchen areas which have a cooker, oven and fridge and some have open fireplaces. All the furniture is new and matching and there are comfortable chairs in the living room.
Casanova Vesta is only 10 minutes drive from Siena and many wonderful old walled towns are within easy reach, such as San Gimignano, Montalcino, Pienza and Montepulciano. Florence is less than 1 hour away. Two delightful English speaking representatives are available to assist you and give any information you may need.
